- Chloe and Jason Roweth: "Daisy Hill". A fine CD of real Australiana played by two of Australia's favourite folkies. We mixed and mastered this one.
- Jack Sammon: "Those Droving Days". An extraordinary look into the history of Australian droving and early outback life by a fair dinkum drover. Jack's voice is gorgeous, rich and deep. Recorded, mixed and mastered by us.
- Ben Scott: "The Sydney Cove Project" . This is a really interesting and beautiful look at early Colonial times drawing from the language of both sides of the racial fence. Mixed and mastered by us.
- Graeme Johnson "The Rhymer From Ryde" . This has some startling variety including a stunning poem written by Graeme called 'Faces on the Wall' which is a great favourite of mine. Mixed and mastered with a little bit of recording thrown in.
- Orpheus Music (Zana Clarke and Peter Biffin): "Lyrical Passions" . If you like the Baroque period, you'll love this CD. Zana's recorder playing is nothing short of stellar and she's wonderfully supported by Rosalind Halton on Harpsichord and Caroline Downer on viola. Mastered by us.
- The Spooky Men's Chorale "Tooled Up" which is an extraordinarily cheeky CD which matches their performances to a hilt. Mastered by us.
- One that's about to be released by Silvia Entcheva which is a beautiful collection of Bulgarian traditional masterpieces sung by Silvia with some help from Mara Kiek, Jarnie Birmingham and Silvia's two daughters Chanelle and Isabelle (aged 4 and 8 respectively). The CD is to be called "If I Were A Bird". Expect it to be released early to mid December and launched at the Cygnet Folk Festival in Tasmania in early January. This CD was recorded, mixed and will be mastered here at BMS by us.
- We've done a bunch of music for Feral Media including music of our very own Greg Seiler who is also known as 'Comatone'. Feral's music is a great collection of authentic Oz electronica with a mixture of other avant garde genres and really worth a look. Danny Jumpertz and Caroline Chishom are doing a great job promoting young Australian players and composers and they really deserve your support. We master virtually all of Feral's work here and are proud to do it.
- Producer Roger Corbett at The Valley Studio is one of our regulars too. Check out Rog's website to see his recording facilities in the lower mountains. Roger has a wonderful habit of bringing all of his work in to us for mastering. Rog does a tremendous amount of work with and for the CMAA and if you're a country music performer looking for someone to do some recording and mixing for you, check out Roger's site and give him a call.
- We always enjoy Colin Buchanan's work. He brought his recent CD "King of Christmas" in for us to master and it's a delight.
- Luciano Mesiti's new CD is now available. It's called "It's About Time". It was a great project to pick up. We recorded and mixed the acoustic tracks on the album. Check out Luciano's site and buy a CD! It's a wonderful compilation of 70's and 80's oldies and goodies. Luc has a wonderful voice and lovers of tenors will really enjoy this one.
- Fiona Hawkins recently produced a grand CD of gorgeous keys. We mastered "Portrait of a Waterfall" and you can check it out on the link given.
- We have Murray Hartin in the studio right now mastering up his new CD which is called "Bum Cack ". It's an absolute scream. Click on the title of the CD and check out Murray's website. The new CD should be available really soon.
- Steve Bevis has just finished his most recent CD. Tentatively named "Tropic of Conversation", it's a great political statement as well as finely arranged and played music. We mixed it and mastered here for Steve and he certainly should sell a substantial number of these works. If you want to visit Steve's site and have a listen to some of his music. Steve is a fine musician and has been an absolute pleasure to work with in the studio.
- Gregory L. Seiler and Amanda Handel have recently finished their brilliant collaboration. This is 'new music' at its very best. Greg aka 'Comatone' and Amanda have combined the very best of nouveau/classical and electronica to put out a soul wrenching and chillingly beautiful cd. You can buy the CD through Feral Media. Check out the Feral Media website and keep your eyes open for the link to 'Fuse' which will be the distribution outlet for "Ghosts and Angels". You can also download via itunes. - The first of the Skorba recordings which are still at demo stage have been done here at Blue Mountain Sound. This is an exciting project that sings and plays about the Neolithic Temples of Malta. For info on the Temples check out the OTSF website. OTSF, based in the 'States dedicates itself to the preservation of this archeological and architectural miracles. Atlantis eat your heart out! A page dedicated to the Skorba Temple project will be appearing here soon. So keep watching!
- The Iraqi project called : "Iraq, the Passion and the Sorrow" is now under way with two of the composers, Linsey Pollak and Llew Kiek having completed their parts of the project. Paul Koerbin's and Philip Griffin's contributions are well under way. Keep watching this space.
- NEWS FLASH!!! Skorba is in the final 5 of the MusicOz Awards for our song 'Merhba' click on and check it out. It's a beauty! Wish us luck. We're chuffed to be in the finals anyway so we've already won!!
- 'Breath of God' was recently mixed and mastered here at BMS. This is a stunning CD. 'Breath' is an awe inspiring piece of work by Walter Robins. Walter did a marvellous job putting together a magnificent orchestral and choral piece. Have a listen to some samples on Walter's site. You can purchase the cd there if you wish. You certainly will not be disappointed.
- John Burland completed his eight new album this year and mastered it here with Greg. It's called 'Lord Teach Me Your Ways' and is produced under the auspices of the Catholic Education Office. Great music and vocals as usual. John's work is so special because he is a person who lives his beliefs to the full. He is a fine and decent human being and working with him is always a great pleasure and privilege. Check John's projects on his website. You won't be disappointed.
- Trevor Knight recently completed a CD which we mastered for him. Called 'Favourable Winds', the CD is soon to appear on Shoestring Records. If you go there and chase the 'singer songwriter' string you'll find Trevor. Otherwise go here if you want to go straight to the source.
- While on the topic of Shoestring, Pat Drummond is in the process of developing his 'Black Wiggles' project which we are delighted to be recording here at BMS. Pat's a great delight to work with. Check out the rest of his work on the Shoestring Records label. Pat is a great political commentator and satirist in both the spoken word in his presentations on stage and in his fine music and lyrics. Always worth catching.
- Chris Gillespie recently mastered his recent EP 'Road to Tamworth' at BMS. It's got some heartfelt music and song on it. It's really worth a listen and his act is really worth catching too. Chris works in collaboration with Ben Scott who's mentioned above. Check out Chris' web site for more info and the opportunity to purchase the CD.
- Fiona Hawkins recently completed another great CD called: 'Angel Above My Piano' and it contains some sweet pieces developed by her. Pop into her website by clicking on the link and check out some samples.
- Fluoxetine have a CD currently being mixed by Greg here at Blue Mountain Sound and you can check them out at their Myspace address . Fluoxetine are a rock/punk band and their new album is yet to be named and should be available early next year.
- Greg Seiler (aka 'Comatone' ) in collaboration with Alon Ilsar are currently at work on an album for their band 'Trigger Happy'. Keep watching for this one and a website soon to be announced.
- Vanessa came in recently to record some music that she had composed for herself and she just wanted to keep a record of it for the future. She liked what she heard so much she is going into production. Watch this space to find out more!!
- Periah have done a couple of things here lately. This great young band have been wowing audiences at gigs like Woodford Folk Festival and The Dreaming. We produced an acoustic demo for them.
- Feral Media have continued their longlasting relationship with us and have produced some great projects which they master with us via Gregory L.
- Mozaika have had their EP mastered here. This is an exciting new duo who play and sing a blend of alternative/electronica/classical. Check them out.
- BLAKHATZ new cd 'Back in Blakhatz' was also finalised here. It's great, quirky and professional. A great band catch their gigs and those of companion band Mic Conway's National Junk Band.
- "The Rhymer From Ryde" continues to record here and continues to win competitions as a poet extraordinaire. Check out his website to see what he's won this week!
- Newpin a service for mums and children in the community recorded, mixed and mastered their most recent CD here. It's a fabulous choral album. These women were coached through the process of songwriting and choir by Linda Marr who is a star singer in her own right.
- Donna Jacobs Sife came in with producer Llew Kiek from the fabulous band Mara! to record a gorgeous CD of spoken word and exotic music. The CD called 'Living in Harmony' is a gorgeous story of tales accessible to the child of all ages.
- Rachel Hore an absolutely stellar choir leader recently brought one of her many choirs in to record a one track sampler. Check out her site and if you're in the Blue Mountains or anyplace where Rachel is going to teach choir go along and find your voice.
- Warren Fahey recently collaborated with Andy (that's me folks) to produce a compilation cd of music donated by stellar performers from around Australia, and mastered by me at BMS to support GetUp, an organisation formed to pursue social action in Australia. The CD will be available for sale soon but in the meantime checkout what this Aussie legend has in his cd shop.
- 'Free to Roam' is another Chris Gillespie album that is worth listening to. This songwriter keeps turning out beautiful pieces. Yet he is understated and not widely enough known- Yet!
- 'Muz' or Murray Hartin as he's known to the electoral office came in to record, mix and master his fabulous poetic piece 'Rain from Nowhere' which speaks about the despair of rural Australians and their ultimate salvation. This gorgeous and heart rendingly evocative piece is beautifully supported by the guitar playing of Pat Drummond. It has been picked up and played all over Australia and I'm very happy to have been involved in this production.
- If you want to hear a stunningly beautiful CD, check out Tony Eardley's 'Desire Lines'. It is a wonderful collaboration between Tony and a stellar cast of musicians and backing vocalists. This one, mastered here by us, is going to go a long way.
- What does one say about Kim Cunio and Heather Lee that is high enough in praise? Their recent CD 'Ishq' which has strongly supported the Arts of Islam at the Art Gallery of NSW was an absolute delight to hear and work with in the mastering stage. What a star turn these two are. They returned soon after doing their first CD 'Ishq' to master 'The Thread of Life' another beauty.
- Clairaudience has recently completed a project mastered by Gregory L. Seiler and produced by Danny J. of Feral Media. Check out Feral's stable of great bands and sounds.
- Underlapper recently completed 'Red Spring', another top class alternative album which is extraordinary in its beauty, complexity and simplicity.
- Two of our favourites Jason and Chloe Roweth returned today to master a cd that they have recently completed recording and mixing. It's a CD of music and spoken word by Uncle John Hall from the North West of NSW. It's an extraordinary CD soon to be released and accompanying 'Another Threshing Day' which they mastered here recently. Their site tells you all about their projects.
- We also continue to get a wide range of independents coming in to record small projects from demos through to ep's. They like coming in because of the friendlimess and accessibility of the studio, our efficiency and cost effectiveness. We are renowned for our ability to make our people feel at home and this, in turn, reflects itself in the quality of the music they turn out at Blue Mountain Sound. So join the stellar cast listed above and come see us about your next musical project.
- Skorba, has now completed the CD 'Ħaġar Qim: Temples of Devotion'. If you want a copy drop me a line. More will appear on this page soon. On our myspace site there are some demos but I'll be uploading a full file soon. so keep watching.
- Kim Cunio brought in the magnificent Manijiri Ensemble for a recording session. Unbelievable musicians. Recorded 2 CD's worth of music in 5 hours! Kim and Heather Lee's Website has some wonderful projects on it. Anything these two do is world class. We had the privilege of mastering Kim's Temple Project here recently. It's for his Doctorate in Music and is absolutely stunning. I hope it's released!
- Colin Berryman brought in his Firebird project for a recording session. Great music with voice, sitar, bass. Keep an eye out for this one. It has some great sounds on it.
- Deniz Simsek: star player of the Kurdish tambura and Turkish baglama brought in a track that he produced for mastering. It's great to see Deniz get going as a producer of wonderful music from Asia Minor and the European region of Turkey. For contact details drop me a post and I'll put you in touch.
- Fergusson Elliott's new CD 'Sam' is about to be unveiled and introduced into the national folk environment. It is an album of fine songs written and sung by Fergusson accompanied by some sweet guitar and Irish bouzouki. Well worth a listen. Once again drop me a line for a contact point. ( I've stopped putting client email addresses online because of spammers).
- Murray Hartin has just put out another fabulous CD of rhyming merriment and touching moments (his serious ones). Have a look at his website and chase up 'The Tater Slater Caper' which is in his CD's. It's a beauty and has some fabulous laughs as well as some very moving poetry.
- The Roaring Forties recently recorded, mixed and mastered their latest CD of sea shanties called 'The Life of Brine' (!) at BMS. It's a great CD full of wonderful story/songs and a terrific compendium of sea shantys brought together by people who love them. You can find the Roaring Forties website by clicking on the hotlink you've just passed (that's it folks, the one in blue) to find details of a great project. They were an absolute ball to work with. A studio full of rollicking, high spirited young whelps who kept me well and truly on my toes (when I wasn't flat on my back that is!).
- Marcus Holden continues to do very fine work. His past production for Tony Eardley (see above) is an example and of course he's gone and done it again this time with Mic Conway's National Junk Band. Check this one out, it's a great gig and one that has been anticipated for a long time.
- The Wheelers and Dealers recently came in and in just two days managed to put down enough material for a CD. They won studio time in a Folk Alliance of Australia competition to master a project but they opted to record instead. We had a ball and they thoroughly enjoyed their time here. If you don't believe me ask them!! Check their website and you'll be impressed with their music. They're a great band. Caught a gig of theirs a little while ago.
- Another great Warren Fahey project has been completed and is now available for sale/purchase under the ABC banner. Click on the hot link on Warren's name and have a look. This is a stellar project and deserves a heap of support. Brilliant Australiana. Great poetry and music. Check it out.
- "The Rhymer From Ryde" was in a couple of weeks ago and we recorded a cd of great poetry in front of a studio audience. It was a terrific day enjoyed by all. Wonderful food and drink and a desert of wonderful poetic anecdotes from Graeme in his full glory. Check out his site. He has some wonderful poetry for you to bring home.
- Currently working on mastering a 10 CD set of terrific Australiana from Warren Fahey . Great old timers and more contemporary songs and poems from this singer/songwriter and unbelievable repository of music and verse. The set is due to be released early in the new year. keep a watch for this one, and click onto Warren's site from time to time to monitor progress.
- Producer Roger Corbett at The Valley Studio recently brought in another 3 CD's for mastering. Tracey Coster has produced another Country music album as have new kids on the block 'The Hartley's'. And coincidentally given that we are currently doing Warren Fahey's recent release, the Bushwackers have just completed their long awaited 'next project'. Larrikinism at its best! Roger continues to produce top class and award winning Country Music albums from his new Springwood studios.
